Leather and Alcantara Sanding Pad We recently had a Colourlock training at OGHQ while I was working on the Corvette at the same time. I asked Ram and Lars about the terrible Alcantara in the C7 and if it could even be restored. They knew exactly what to do and broke out a leather sanding pad. Not all cases of damaged Alcantara can be fixed by sanding (Extreme pilling) but it's worth a shot to try and restore it. Normally you would use this to smooth out leather before fixing it. Using the sanding pad works great on bringing back matted down Alcantara by roughing up the fibers and removing any pilling from the ruined fibers. I was surprised at just how well it worked, so I'm making it available in the store.  Leather Usage: Grind the leather gently with the pad in a circular motion. Avoid gouging and deep scratches. Both faces of the pad can be used. It can be washed out with water. Alcantara Usage: Gently sand your Alcantara in a back a forth motion, it might be helpful to blow out the pad and Alcantara to help remove any old fibers. Sand until you notice a uniform look to the fibers. Proceed with cleaning the Alcantara with a cleaner like Sonax Alcantara Cleaner
