Strawflower (Bracteantha bracteata) Strawflowers are wonderful, heat-loving flowers that lively up the late-summer garden. Also known as Everlasting flowers, these drought-tolerant flowers make wonderful dried blooms and keep their lovely color and shape. Strawflowers make a great cut-flowers and are a favorite of bees.

Strawflowers are wonderful, heat-loving flowers that lively up the late-summer garden. Also known as Everlasting flowers, these drought-tolerant flowers make wonderful dried blooms and keep their lovely color and shape. Strawflowers make a great cut-flowers and are a favorite of bees and butterflies.
Origin: The parent seed of our strawflowers we’re given to us by a dear friend who grows them on her beautiful farm near Eugene, Oregon.

Planting Instructions: Strawflowers require a long, sunny and warm growing season. Sow seeds 1/8 deep 4 apart after danger of frost in full-sun. Strawflower seeds require light to germinate so don't cover seeds with soil but water immediately after sowing. Thin to one plant per foot. In cooler climates strawflowers can be started indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost.
