Digital K-Type Thermometer  DT1311 One K-Type Wire Sensor and one 3 Stainless Steel Probe Precision Display in 0.1° Steps Large Measurement Range: -328 to 2498 °F (-200 to 1370 °C) This is a brand new, high quality digital k type thermometer for contact temperature measurements. It has one input for K-type thermocouples and can display the temperature in 0.1° steps. It can be used in HVAC trade to check air conditioners, heaters or furnaces with high precision. With the extended measurement range it is also great for industrial applications, metal working, science projects and the laboratory. It comes with one 3 ft (1 m) temperature probe TC-1, this has a green teflon based plastic insulation  and works up to about 392°F (200°C). In addition we have added the 3 Stainless Steel probe TC-2. This can measure up to 572 °F (400°C) at the tip of the insertion probe. Please be aware that the handle and the cable need to be kept at or near room temperature, as all plastic they will melt at high temperature.   But any other K-type temperature probe with miniature thermocouple connector can be used. To use the thermometer for temperatures above 392 degree F you would need a special thermocouple with a ceramic insulation or a stainless steel probe (TC-2 included). The sensor is housed at the tip of a 8 inch long stainless steel probe, which comes with a 3 inch long handle. It is important to keep the handle at room temperature.
